Drs. Stephanie Budgen, Amy Desroches, and Stephen Smith have begun data collection in Winnipeg schools. The project, sponsored in part by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, will use behavioural and EEG testing to track how language skills, numerosity, and emotion regulation abilities interact. We would like to thank the Prairie Trails School Division and the large number of volunteer research assistants who are working on this project. Our hope is that by collaborating with school boards, we will be able to engage in knowledge translation whereby our academic research can be used to improve the educational outcomes of children.
